Be thankful we have decent medical treatment facilities in this country, even with all the faults of the “system.”
And, be thankful you aren’t this guy…(not for the squeamish)

You’re right, this time, in your assumption. Someone as innocent and sweet as I am would never find this on their own.
All the credit goes to a Daily News reporter who likes to remain anonymous because he doesn’t like to hear about himself at all. He’s very humble and modest, otherwise…I’d list his name here.

Can I just point out that the wonderful doctor who is helping this poor man is from THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND? Yes, the same University of Maryland where they perform life-saving kidney transplants for the general managers of fabulous small newspapers! (And where they field powerful, underrated football and basketball teams!!) Oh yes - and where really handsome, sweet men like my husband go to learn how to be an engineer!!
What a coincidence!!
